THANOS WAS RIGHT ??

Thanos, the greatest villain of all times created by the Marvel cinematic universe. The mad Titan who who believes in wiping out the half of the population of the entire universe. He believes that he can save the universe by doing this. For that, he thinks of using the limitless power of the infinity stones.

For readers who are unfamiliar with the MCU films, I'll make a gist on Thanos.

His planet is Titan. It was very similar to our Earth apart from their "alien" looks and stuff. They faced many problems. There were too many mouths to feed but not enough to go around. Their resources were limited. And that often created so much chaos.

It lead to a war for the limited resources, which finally destroyed everything. It destroyed his civilization.

Thanos, the mighty Titan, was triggered by that catastrophe. He was a visionary but misguided. He set off on a mission to preserve the resources all over the universe.
He viewed that problem not as a Titan problem but a universal problem.

He believed in wiping out half of the universe to preserve the limited resources.

We might feel the intention as genuine but he was misguided and it wasn't the right way. Hence he is the villain of the story.
He is a bad guy.

Our world too face this similar problem.

There's a theory regarding this.
Malthusian theory states, that the population grows exponentially while resources has a linear growth.
It means, the world population is increasing but the resources are not.
They're limited.

There is a serious demand for resources.

The resources of our world is also limited. Not only that, studies say that, if this trend continues ( rise in population and rise in demand of resources ), by 2030, we could need 2 earth planets to meet human demands.

UN says, in 15 years, more than 1 billion people will still be living on less than $2 a day. Limited resources could lead to scarcity of food which might push a million people worldwide to poverty.

The rise in demand could cause chaos in many countries. It will find more poorer and vulnerable section of people difficult to access their basic resources. They'll be the ones facing real threats of life and livelihood.

Our blue planet contain only 2.5 of the total volume of the water it contains. The Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations is predicting that by 2025, 1.8 billion people living in various regions will face absolute water scarcity.

The black gold, crude oil is too diminishing. The measured total global oil is at 188.8 million tonnes and this is only enough for the next 42 years.

We all know how oil availablity and oil prices can affect the world. Many times the world has witnessed invasions and ambush for oil.

CONCLUSION

Yes, there is is serious demand for resources.
And our resources are limited.

Humanity presently uses resources at a rate of 50% faster than they can be regenerated by nature.

The pressure of population growth, global warming and degradation of the ecosystem increase the threat for life.

Government and states should resolve policies to cop up with the issue. Thanos, being a badass and insane with his vision, also has a point that existence can be in threat unless the resources are replenished.
