MEMES MANIPULATES THE MIND ??

Whether it's Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or any other social networks, the most engaging things one can find there are the memes or the trolls. The social networking sites are so abundant with the memes and trolls that sometimes people check out the sites only to see those. Well, most of us spend hours in internet, mostly by social media so it's obvious that there occur an exchange of thoughts. That is, there are several things a person express and take it return. So social media do influence people. Then what about the memes?
Since they contain the most of our feeds in social media, undoubtedly they can manipulate our minds.

I agree there are memes with good content and fun but can't ignore the certain notions several memes put forward which can have adverse effects in the mindset of people.

"My Life, My Rules."

Most of us might have seen memes with this caption on it. It means to live as you like and ignore what others thinks of you. It advocates personal liberty and not to interfere in others lives, which is good. But memes can be paradoxical sometimes.

According to certain memes, using particular products, it can be an app, bike, a phone, physical appearance of a person, even person's name can make you a "low class."
Unless becoming how the "meme community" wants you to be, you are inferior.

I don't know how many of you have seen these kinds of memes, but a certain amount of Malayalam memes act like this. And it is gaining more popularity which cannot be appreciated. And I feel pity for those who take this seriously and judge everything with the "criteria" made by the memers.

Jilts, Nerds and paalkuppies...

Lets see some traditional concepts in memes which is continuing till date with no change.

Girls are always the jilts. They always cheats.
I wonder why people are not getting bored with memes of this theme.

Students should not be differentiated on marks they score in exams. Unfortunately our society does this. Memes too. But unlike society, memes consider the ones who are less interested in studies are the best and rest are nerds.

There are just frustrations of memers not creativity.

There are many more...

Toxicity

Society is reflected in the social media. So as the positive and negative things in the society. Sometimes I feel human minds have an inclination towards the negative side.
Social media generates a lot of toxicity.
Since the negativity spreads faster, memes do contribute negativity for the page's reach.
Since social media warrants anonymity and mob mentality gets cultivated quickly, widespread of negativity and toxicity becomes easily possible.

Conclusion

I repeat, that there are many memes which are so good with its contents and informative. Making a person laugh is difficult and memes and trolls can do it. I was talking about the practices and notions which need to be corrected since it can influence people.

First of all remember memes are not created by intellectuals or experts but some unemployed with a smart phone and internet. So don't take the memes to your life.

Don't let others think for you.
Don't let others to manipulate you.
