MAKING OF A GAURASHTRA

Mere pyaare deshvaasiyon,

India is the largest democratic country in the world.

But it will be democracy untill you criticise it.

If you don't criticise, then what's the point being the citizens of the country?

And our government, Modiji and his party is so good in handling criticisms that, I'm going to make my "Mann ki Baath" before they scrape right to speech and expression.

PRE-INDEPENDENCE

Indian culture and traditions consider cow as a holy animal. Gradually it became a symbol of Hindutva and presently, an icon of Hindutva propaganda, working for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

In the pre independence period also, cow and cow slaughter was a hot topic among Hindu-Muslim community.

A historical survey of major communal riots in India between 1717 and 1977 revealed that 22 out of 167 incidents of rioting between Hindus and Muslims were attributable directly to cow slaughter.

The reverence for the cow played a role in the Indian Rebellion of 1857 against the British East India Company.
Some Hindu extremists in 1890s, spreading hatred and anti-muslim propaganda, but remained silent on the large scale cow slaughter occurred in British cantonments.

POST-INDEPENDENCE

After independence also, the question of the cow remained unsolved.
Even after the constitution was framed, however, the cow still remained a bone of contention.

Cow protection had, by now become a major political tool for the RSS.

MODI ERA

The next time the issue raised its ugly head was during the 2014 Lok Sabha election campaign, by the BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and he came to power in 2014.

Now, its the time for some facts.

Since he came into power in 2014, hate crimes in the name of cows increased. 97% of  all incidents have occurred over the last 3 years since Prime Minister Narendra Modi came into power.

In speeches, Modi has condemned the “widespread killing of our cows” and has been criticized for being largely silent or late to comment on the slaying of Muslims suspected of eating beef or slaughtering cows.

Not only Muslims but also Dalits were attacked and even killed by Gauraksha gangs.

Most of the time, a fake forward message from WhatsApp alleging of stealing cows and carrying beef leads to the mob lynching.

That's so shocking!!

In Dadri, a muslim man was beaten up by bricks, on the rumours which alleged him a cow smuggler. Not only justice was denied, the FIR was filed against the victims, not the real culprits!

HYPOCRISY

Time to show their true colours.

V D Savarkar, the flag bearer of Hindutva politics and leading figure of Hindu Mahasabha, asked not to worship cows!

Also, when Modiji and his gang was busy protecting their "Gaumaata"s, India became the largest exporter of beef !!

HOLY COW !! 😮

Enough of serious facts and stats. Now let's meet some science "experts" and their discoveries.

🐮 Education minister of Rajasthan made a statement that cow is the only animal which inhales and exhales oxygen

This is what happens when you skip your science classes. If this is the condition of the education minister, then just imagine about the others.

🐮 Do you know that applying cow dung on your phone reduces the radiation?

This guy really deserved a Nobel Prize!

🐮 Pragya Singh Thakur, a BJP 's MP from Bhopal said that, rubbing a cow in certain way can help to reduce a person's BP.
She also claimed that, cow urine and cow dung cured her breast cancer.

But oncologists later debunked her claims.

🐮 Sambit Patra, BJP spokesperson said, once supreme court opined that cow dung is costlier than the Kohinoor diamond.

It was absurd. Supreme court never made such a statement.

He should know that supreme court is not BJP's IT cell, which creates and propagate fake news.

STOP IT!!

There are a lot more stuffs regarding the topic but lets conclude for now.

Cow is just an example of a belief and faith of the majority. Its an individual's choice to follow his/her beliefs and practices. But compelling others to follow one's belief is wrong.

All that I'm trying to say is that, there are a few, who are intended to take advantage of our emotions and beliefs for their selfish gains.

Know them and question them.

As I said in the beginning, India will be democracy until you question. Jai Hind !!

"If I were overfull of pity for the cow, I should sacrifice my life to save her but not take my brother's. This, I hold, is the law of our religion."
